LNG Terminal Lead

Job purpose

Responsible for all coordination of operational aspects of the FSRU in meeting the reliability, availability and capability targets in accordance to the Operating Agreements between the Terminal Operator and DUSUP (TCPA), this will also include the management of LNG Jetty maintenance consistent with acceptable industry standards for health, safety and the environment.  Lead the Terminal Coordinators in managing all aspects of LNG operations.

Key responsibilities:

Contribute to DUSUP HSE performance by ensuring applicable HSE standards are known and followed at all times, including the prompt reporting of any safety or environmental hazards or incidents. Set relevant HSE goals for each team member to ensure their awareness and performance are maintained at a high level.

Implement OES within the area of responsibilities by setting goals to achieve desired results in support of DUSUP goals.

Implementation of asset integrity regime for the Jetty and follow the SIGTTO Jetty maintenance regime in close coordination with Lead Integrity Engineer.

Manage the daily interface with Terminal Operator for LNG Cargo unloading, LNG regasification, gas delivery including managing routine Jetty operations and the coordination of the FSRU scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance. Coordinate activities and the operational interfaces between the Gas Planner and FSRU for the Maintenance or testing windows on the LNG Terminal (FSRU and Jetty). This also includes the coordination with port authorities and agents.

Manage the coordination with Commercial Operations Lead and Gas Planner to define Annual Delivery Plan and spot cargo requirements.

Manage the implementation of the LNG Cargo discharge plans using the LIMS tool and coordinating with Commercial Operations Lead, Gas Planner, and GCS to the LNG inventory control, cargo scheduling and sendout analysis are within the operational capabilities of the facility during cargo discharge.

Manage the FSRU operational report and hydrocarbon accounting of LNG purchased and gas send out from the FSRU ensuring data accuracy. Analyze, track and maintain FSRU’s internal fuel use for reporting to the DUSUP’s Supply & Optimisation Manager and Commercial Operations Lead to ensure compliance with the TCPA

Coordinate the scheduled maintenance of the jetty with Maintenance Department or any relevant parties and FSRU. Supervise field activities on the jetty during maintenance. Ensure annual PM’s are carried out as per schedule and coordinated with Maintenance Dept.

Provide assurance that DUSUP operational procedures are followed in all Operational and Maintenance activities.

Manage the updates of Operating Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, Laboratory Procedures, Daily reports, etc.

Accountable for the development of the LNG Terminal Coordinator

The main point of contact during Emergency response responsible for the FSRU & Jetty and fulfill the role as stated in the Incident Management Plan with primary objective is the preservation of LIFE, secondary objective is the protection of PROPERTY and third objective is to protect the ENVIRONMENT

The main point of contact for the Captain of the FSRU and Excelerate Regas Manager for any operational related issues.

Requirements (Qualifications/Experience/Competencies)

  • Engineering or other relevant technical degree
  • 7 to 10 years relevant experience in managing HSE, operational and maintenance work processes and practices for LNG or similar gas/liquid laoding/discharge operations, marine experience will be an advantage
  • Excellent English language communication skills
  • Highly developed influencing skills
  • Able to manage operational aspects of charter agreements and third party vendors.
  • Well developed troubleshooting diagnostic skills.
  • High level of motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage people and relationships in a diverse multi-cultural environment
  • Strong skill sets in Excel and Power Point
